Malta Inmigration Photo Galery
Malta is struggling to deal with the immigration influx from Africa to Europe. Photos from Jonathan Miller also tells about their stroies with their faces...
The project “Destination Europe” organize a study visit to Malta, one of the countries in the Mediterranean region that has dealt with a large influx of migrants in the past few years. We are concerned with the situation of young migrants on the island, the way youth organisations are able to support them and their role in the intercultural dialogue with the Maltese community. Therefore we want to make an investigation of youth work and youth policies related to migrant youngsters on the island of Malta. We aim at getting a better view on the situation of migrant youth and on the perspectives of the local community, various stakeholders, representatives of local governments and other institutions. With a group of 30 young leaders from various countries in the Euro-Mediterranean region, we hope to come up with conclusions and recommendations for youth work in Malta. Participants will be encouraged to develop projects in cooperation with Maltese youth NGO’s and the other partners. In this way, a Euro-Mediterranean youth network concerned with the issue of migration can be created.
As an AEGEE-Europe project, our project will be held with the support of AEGEE-Valletta and AEGEE-Utrecht
